Remembering Opa
Never did we expect that Opa would leave us so soon. He even did not have the chance to celebrate his 62 birthday and Kailie's 2nd birthday on December 2009. Opa left us forever on October 27, 2009. He was a loving and hardworking father for his children; caring, patient, and humorous grandfather to all his greandchilren. A friendly person to his neighbours.
We love Opa and we will treasure the beautiful memories we had together with him.

When Kailie eats noodle
What is the favorite food for children? For my kids the answer is noodle. Both Kailie and Yutaka love noodle. We brought Kailie out for Ramen dinner at East Coast Park, and she enjoyed the ramen so much. She finished her bowl of ramen. :)

East Coast Park
It's weekends, and it's Saturday morning for my family to spend time together, starting from having breakfast at KFC then having a stroll at East Coast park. Yuta and Kailie started with playing sand at the beach and then daddy brought them closer to the sea to play with the water.
Yuta and Kailie seemed to enjoy that morning a lot.

Disney Game @ Parkway Parade
As my boy already 4 years old now, he is more curious and active about his surroundings. We have to bring him out to satisfy the little brain of his. So when the mall across our house, Parkway Parade, has this Disney game going on during June school holiday the thought of bringing Yuta there is unavoidable. But who realizes that Kailie is actually ready for the game also?!
Mommy, Ie Cory, Yuta and Kailie went to Parkway Parade to have our lunch together on one fine day, and then after that Yuta joined the Disney game for the 4th time (kids never grow tired of games!). And guess what, Kailie also tried the game for the very first time! :)

Something about my boy's teeth
A regret? maybe...
One of my boy's front teeth has a cavity that makes him lose his appetite. Having a toothache can never be fun.
We blame it to sweets and chocolates though we also realize it is because of less frequent of brushing his teeth. I took it for granted to think that milk teeth are not so important compared to the premanent teeth. But if you consider that the permanent teeth will only appear when your kid become 6 years old, you might want think again to diligently teaching your kids to brush their teeth, at least twice a day, morning and nigh. Therefore they might not lose their milk teeth too early because of cavities.
My boy is 4 years old now, so this will be a lesson for both Yuta and us, if he has to sacrifice one of his front tooth because of the toothache.

Sweet Moments in Singapore
When my mom went back home to Indonesia today I felt so relieved that I have spent wonderful time with both my dad and my mom. There were times that when we gather we debated about how to raise kids (my kids to be specific), and sometimes the debates ended up with scoldings and being angry to one another.
I have learnt to treasure the time that I have with my parents, enjoyed to have them around us as my children's grandparents. And although I have already become a parent myself, I still need to listen to their advices and not to rebel all the time to them.
These 5 days spending time with them here in Singapore, in my new apartment, have been proven to be a wonderful quality time, that they played with my kids, tried out some tasty dishes (Korean, Chinese, Japanese food), and even went out to walk around shopping malls and made some shoppings too!

100 Posts Celebration and Yuta's 4th Birthday today!!!
This is my 100 posts in this blog and today is my big boy Yuta's 4th birthday. We bought small cheesse cake from Breadtalk, put Yuta's name tag and Happy Birthday tag on it. One small candle, and that's the birthday cake that we enjoy for the family celebration.
Yuta will have his birthday celebrated in the school as well Sunday school. We bought him a Transformer figure tonight and I just wondered how easy it is for him to get most of the toys that he wants. When I was a little girl there were times that I wanted toys that were popular in my days like Barbie dolls and I did not have them. But I think every kids have different lives and we just need to cherish what we have.

Kailie's first encounter with slides and waves
Wild Wild Wet, that was the place we spent our weekends last week. Kailie's first time wearing life jacket, and having fun with waves pool and slides. She seemed to be afraid at first but she just kept quiet. When she got the hang of the waves and slides, she talked, shouted, and enjoyed the rough water play. :)

Date with Yuta
Goodbye old school and See you soon new school...
Yuta finished his kindergarten at Bedok Methodist Church Kindergarten (BMCK) on March 14, 2009. He will enter Konohana Japanese Kindergarten on April 1, 2009.
He loved BMCK and learnt a lot from there. He loved his teachers and we are so greatful to the teachers as they taught Yuta so many things; prayers, worship songs, words and simple maths. The next school will be Yuta's 3rd kindergarten since 2008. He entered Child Enrichment Center at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, Richmond, Virginia, USA.
When nap time comes
When nap time comes, sometimes Yuta comes to mommy's room to have a nap together with Kailie. But when that happens, they will want to play together before they want to go to sleep. They tease mommy by holding hands together and laughing teasefully. Finally mommy has to be firm and put them to sleep.

Kailie likes to joke, big laugh!
Kailie learns to walk, 14 months
Kailie already learnt to stand and walk (with our help) since she was around 1 year old. Though she still cannot walk long steps now, we do not worry much because we still enjoy her moving around with only few steps then crawling all around.
She looked very cute when she braved herself walking only few steps then dropped herself to the floor and started to crawl. :)
